Role: Continuous Improvement Manufacturing Engineer Industry: Aerospace & Defence (Composites) Location: Banbury Duration: 6 months Hourly Rate: £33 P/H Overview As a Continuous Improvement Manufacturing Engineer you will drive 100% right first time yield improvement projects, focused on robust containment actions and conducting root cause analysis to implement permanent corrective actions. Principle Duties / Responsibilities: Drive yield improvement projects *Develop, improve and provide innovation to the manufacturing process, including the trial and implementation of new technologies to deliver 100% right first time *Drive selected quality issue investigations, providing robust containment actions and conducting root cause analysis to implement permanent corrective actions *Conduct process capability studies and data collection to identify process trends and corrective actions to achieve 100% right first time *Generate and maintain process flow diagrams, control plans, FMEA, SPC *Identify potential changes to design / customer requirements to achieve 100% right first time targets *Development of measurement system analysis on existing and new equipment and addressing concerns identified *Produce appropriate Metrics & Reports to facilitate drive to 100% right first time *Generate and adhere to project plans to deliver 100% right first time Role Requirements Relevant Manufacturing Experience with strong analytical problem solving skills *Data driven with excellent problem solving skills *Demonstrable experience with quality problem solving tools such as six sigma, Shainin Red X, 8D etc *Technically competent with the ability to read engineering drawings and reports, and metrology results *Experience of managing change in a structured manner ideally in an aerospace environment *Knowledge of Lean principles *Able to conduct FMEAs For immediate consideration, please apply for the role immediately.
