Sales Coordinator – Shipping & Logisitcs 1 year FTC Liverpool £20,000 – £22,000 I’m partnering with a Global business within the Shipping and Logistics sector in the heart of Liverpool. The successful individual will have experience within a Sales Support role ideally within Shipping, Freight forwarding or Transport sector. You’ll be required to fully support the sales division in order to provide quotations, deal with enquiries and cover any general day to day administration and customer service duties. Duties and Responsibilities: Liaise with existing and potential new customers and follow up on all sales leads. Preparing rate quotations and promptly replying to all customer rate requests. Reviewing quotations on basis of contribution and imbalance aspects using FIS pre calculation. Coordinating with Trade Management for service contract proposals and special rate offers. Maintaining customer contracts and processing amendments. Handling bids/tenders in conjunction with Sales Execution. Follow up account quotes and existing accounts in conjunction with all respective departments. Provide lead qualification for telephone sales and work with Sales Execution to identify and secure target accounts. Filing/publishing rates, service contracts and amendments with the FMC. Managing customer disputes including coordination with involved parties, e.g. Operations, Sales Execution and Finance. Handling missing sales contracts and revenue retrievals in the shipments. Handling Customer Data Management Validate new customers. Liaise with Customer Service and Operations for customers’ Standard Operating Procedures. The Candidate: Customer service/sales experience within the Shipping OR logistics sector Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Strong communication skills (both oral and written) Strong organisation skills with the ability to multi-task and work to tight deadlines Ability to remain calm and professional when under pressure Commitment to achieving individual, departmental and wider Company results. High levels of accuracy with strong attention to detail Strong inter-personal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with others Ability to take ownership and work under own initiative with limited supervision .
