Have you been the first point of contact role for IT incidents where you have supplied remote support to users' IT queries? Do you have first rate Customer Service skills? Our Public Sector client's ICT team is looking for someone with excellent communication skills to work on their Helpdesk resolving basic IT queries and logging support calls. You must have IT helpdesk experience and knowledge of the following: Active Directory / Microsoft Server 2008 and 2012 Microsoft Windows 7 / 10 Network Printing Microsoft Office Applications, particularly Outlook. You will be providing 1st and 2nd line support via the Helpdesk and be involved in: PC & Laptop installation & support Server support Network troubleshooting and support Security systems support Undertaking surveys of equipment and licences and maintain the ICT Asset Management Database and advise on any licence compliance issues. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to relate well to people at different levels is essential as is the: Ability to work quickly and accurately and to deadlines Ability to remain polite and calm under pressure Ability to identify, analyse and solve problems in a logical and effective way Ability to quickly absorb information and understand new technologies/solutions. This is an immediate requirement, initially offered at 3 months with the possibility of extension. Based in Taunton.
