We are recruiting on behalf of our client who have a vacancy for an Independent Living Manager for 12 months initially, with a possibility of extension.  Our Clients ethos is to provide a meaningful residential and working environment for its adult members, some of whom have learning disabilities. Set in 70 acres of grounds in the North Norfolk Countryside, this really is a unique and sought after opportunity. Location: Holt, Norfolk Salary: £28,000 Hours: 38 hours per week Duties – This is a brief overview- full job description available on request Lead and co-ordinate activities in the Houses and support adults with learning disabilities. Taking a pro-active approach to creating an environment that promotes person centred planning and independent living.   Ensure tenants’ physical, spiritual, cultural and emotional needs are met and they are supported to have choice and control in their daily lives.   Managing relationships between tenants.   Maintaining tenants’ healthy dietary needs.   Managing finances and budgets.   Organise weekly team meetings.   Ensuring the houses are adequately staffed.   Conducting 1:1 supervisions and appraisals.   Ensuring all policies and procedures are followed at all times.   Identifying and progressing individuals training needs.   Undertaking management investigations.   To be part of the senior staff on call rota.   Work in accordance with any regulatory and quality frameworks.  Ensure protection and safeguarding policies are followed.   Essential Criteria: Level 3 qualification in health/social care.   Experience of working with challenging behaviour.   Experience of working with adults with learning disabilities.   Ability to work in a team and independently.   Knowledge of safeguarding issues.   Have a sound knowledge of Duty of care.   Self-motivating, positive, proactive and leadership skills.   Basic cooking skills.   IT skills and knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)   Full, Clean driving licence and access to a car.
