Service Care Solutions are looking for a Police Conference Liaison Officer to work on a major contract in the Wandsworth, Merton, Kingston and Richmond boroughs of London.

To work within the MASH Team as part of a team of professionals from safeguarding agencies to deliver an integrated service with the aim to research, interpret and determine what is appropriate and relevant to share.

The PCLO will be expected to:

• Complete initial research for Child Protection Conferences

• Produce case conference reports from research that has been completed by Police Researchers and other staff;

• Carry out extensive research using a variety of police indices in order to provide structured and in-depth reports to be used at child protection conferences and to update Child Care Issue CRIS reports (C.585) with relevant intelligence, as well as identifying potential areas of risk. The information will be shared with external partner agencies for the purpose of providing ongoing safeguarding intervention and support (under the direction and supervision of the PCLO police supervisor);

• Undertake research using MPS intelligence systems including IIP, PND, Merlin, CRIS, PNC, CRIMINT Plus, NSPIS, VISOR and open sources;

• Attend Child Protection Conferences and share information to ensure partners are able to effectively manage risk and assist with decision making.

• Support the work of Police Colleagues as required within the Safeguarding Hub and operational policing environment;

• Comply with MPS, ACPO and MOPI standards;

• Complete administrative duties pertaining to the role and systems in place;

• Bring to the attention of a supervisor any information that comes to light that may either heighten or lower the risk during the Child Protection Conferences.

• Complete CRAM risk assessments;

• Provide initial analysis of the risk areas identified during research;

• Complete CRIMINT entries as required;

• Ability to manage risk and embrace multi-agency working

• Excellent working knowledge of MPS IT systems e.g. Microsoft Office, CRIS, CRIMINT, PNC

This is a Civilian Investigator (ex-officer) role, meaning that candidates must have worked directly for a UK based police force in order to be considered.

University qualifications will not be taken into account for this position.
