THE COMPANY: A leader in their field based in North Leeds, they operate from 6 offices across the UK and are experiencing sustained growth. They currently require the immediate assistance of an experienced Management Accountant within their finance team. They are ideally located for candidates in Leeds, Bradford, Huddersfield, and Harrogate. THE JOB: The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Finance Manager with effective delivery of the financial reporting process, ensure robust financial controls and support the finance manager on ad hoc commercial and operational activities (including the implementation of a SAP system). This is a minimum 6-month contract. Duties & Responsibilities Preparation of the monthly-consolidated accounts. It will require hands on detailed involvement to produce the management accounts with variance analysis and reporting to the FM prior to the final pack being reviewed by the FC and the FD. Assist the FM to produce the monthly management information pack and Board Report in an effective and timely manner providing commentary, KPI's and variance analysis reporting. Maintain supporting documents for year-end corporation tax computation. Monthly Balance sheet reconciliations and audit checklist preparation. Produce initial drafts of Office of National Statistics documents for FM to review. HMRC tax returns including preparation of the quarterly VAT returns. Supporting the wider the accounts team. Support the FC on ad-hoc commercial and strategic projects, reports and investigation. Assist the FM in implementing and testing SAP where necessary. Any other duties as may be reasonably required. Assist accounts department on financial accounting issues. THE PERSON: You will be a high calibre part-qualified/qualified ACA/CIMA/ACCA accountant, or AAT Qualified who is QBE Must have month-end experience SAP experience is preferable Key Competencies Strong IT skills including excel.
