Farnborough International is looking for a well organised individual to help support the cover of a sponsorship sales role whilst the current sponsorship and advertising executive is on maternity cover. The Role This position is part of a small team working towards a sponsorship revenue target for the Farnborough International Airshow in July 2020. It involves selling sponsorship and advertising packages to exhibiting companies at the airshow and to contribute towards the overall sponsorship budget figure. Due to when this role starts, the business moves into the second part of a two-year cycle. The role will remain as a sales-based role but will also naturally integrate into activating the sponsorship and advertising packages sold and it will become account management focused. You will be supporting the Sponsorship Manager by liaising with clients and contractors during a very busy period. In addition to working as part of the sponsorship team for the airshow, the role also encompasses cross selling other sponsorship opportunities from other areas of the business and potentially selling sponsorship for other events organised by Farnborough International. This will include speaking to clients and selling packages for the Bahrain International Airshow and for our digital news content channel (FINN). The Candidate This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced sales executive or account manager with excellent customer service skills, to join our highly driven Sponsorship team. A large part of the role will require you to follow up with sales prospects and as well as managing current customer accounts, therefore you will need to be a proactive sales individual with exceptionally strong administration skillscoupled with the ability to liaise with people at all levels.
