Property Surveyor – Stoke on Trent – 3 Month Contract – �18.00 per hour (inside IR35) – Start ASAP.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Property Surveyor to join an existing busy team in the delivery of a planning maintenance budget.

Your duties and responsibilities will include;

* Work on the delivery of projects and programmes, which maintain or improve the City Council’s Housing Stock – this shall include working with and motivating key partners/stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered.
* Maintain records and other appropriate information, distributing to relevant parties when required. Additionally, you will be responsible for identifying and engaging project support when necessary.
* Acting as the housing investment and maintenance surveyor to ensure the delivery of high quality and cost effective management of the responsive, voids, and planned maintenance service for the directorate.
* Responsible for the monitoring and co-ordination of the responsive, voids, and planned maintenance service for the directorate.
* Ensure the maintenance, improvement and investment in the City Council’s Housing Stock is completed within the predetermined timescales to the prescribed specification.
* Assist the Lead Officer – Property Surveying with the monitoring of programmes of work and report on individual and overall project programming. Review ‘works in progress’ on a regular basis with the Joint Venture Company and provide statistical analysis when required.

To be suitable for this opportunity; the following qualifications or experience is required:

* Knowledge of Building Pathology.
* Experience or writing Schedules of work, Specifications & Bills of quantities to a high standard.
* Experience of inspection and clerking of projects.
* Knowledge of project management practices.
* Extensive knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework for housing maintenance.
* Significant knowledge of property maintenance, housing decency standard and property defects.
