We are seeking a capable and dynamic Band 7 Practice Development Lead Midwife to join our client's unique Maternity Service on the beautiful Island of Guernsey , in the Channel Islands.
Supporting the Band 8 Head of Midwifery, you will be responsible for patient safety by developing training/competency packages and co-ordinating education for all members of staff (registered and unregistered) within the Maternity unit.
The Guernsey birth rate is 600 per year, and their home birth rate is around 3%.

The island of Guernsey is in the Channel Islands and has a population of 65,000. It has some of the British Isles' finest and best-kept beaches , a mild and sunny climate , and an offbeat, historic harbor town in St. Peter's Port, the island's capital.

Person requirements:
Registered Midwife with valid NMC registration.
Completion of a mentorship, or appropriate Teaching qualification.
Current or recent Band 7, or senior Band 6-level experience including mentorship, supervision and motivation of junior staff.
Evidence of continuing professional development.
