Marketing Manager

LOCATION: Mansfield, Nottinghamshire

SALARY & BENEFITS: Up to £35,353 per annum 

WORKING HOURS: Full Time - Monday – Friday 37.5 hours per week

Portland College is a leading specialist college; working with disabled people to develop their employability, independence and communication skills. They are situated in a beautiful 32 acre woodland campus in the historic Sherwood Forest area of Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. The Marketing Manager gives the College profile and leads on communications and branding of all
College products.

What you will be doing:

-
- Develop and update a Marketing & Communications strategy to reflect the prevailing College Plan 
- Oversee the College strategy across all social media platforms 
- Manage complex projects (e.g. commissioning and implementing a new website) 
- Strategically seek out opportunities for promotion
- Introduce and evaluate outsourcing opportunities achieving increased marketing impact at good value 
- Produce copy for a wide range for a business functions for a mixture of target audiences
- increase market presence in targeted areas 
- Analyse business functions and identify monthly PR and communications priorities
- Work across the college with identified managers to generate an increased amount of content for external communication 
- Project manage an outsourced social media function. Evaluate productivity as part of monthly reporting an identify opportunities for improvement 
- Develop an annual cycle of external events that college marketing can support
- Maintain existing excellent local media relationships and establish regional and national media connections 
- Work with college managers to ensure events are supported (eg fundraising, student recruitment and staff open days). 
- Deliver in-house training to new staff members on Social Media policies
- Develop and maintain monthly reporting on the impact of marketing activity 
- Attend industry events to represent the college 
- Being an effective role model for the standards of behaviour required by the college, including adherence to all College Policies and Procedures
- Such other duties as the management may from time to time reasonably require

- A target driven approach with a commitment to further development of online and digital campaigns

What you will need: 

- Will live within a commutable distance of the Mansfield, Nottinghamshire
- Minimum 3 years management experience within marketing
- Will be a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing
- Relevant professional qualifications to Graduate level
- Experience of using Microsoft Office package
- Experience of managing a range of Social Media platforms
