Our Client is looking for a Senior Research Manager to join their busy company asap.

Purpose of the role: Leading the project team in delivering projects focused on the selection, development, evaluation, and implementation of Clinical Outcome Assessments (COA)

Key activities will include:

- Leading assigned projects; as project leader, for any project you are leading, you will be:
- Managing and motivating project team members,
- Creating an organized project plan for timely delivery, directing and supporting project team members on their respective tasks, and monitoring their work to ensure delivery is according to the project plan,
- Critically reviewing all client deliverables to ensure that they are 'client ready' before you pass them on to the senior lead for review,
- Acting as primary contact with the client, leading client calls and updating clients on project status
- Ensuring any change in scope is agreed with the client and clear documentation of the change is shared with the client,
- Updating the contribution site with actual and forecast contribution delivery and any changes to external costs, sale value, etc., consulting with the senior lead as appropriate and when unsure.
- Overseeing all financial aspects of the project, including client invoicing and approval of incoming costs. Writing reports, manuscripts, presentations and regulatory documents.

- Assessing business opportunities and leading the development of proposals.
- Line managing any assigned team members.
- Identifying training needs of project team members, and providing training where appropriate, in all relevant activities.

You will demonstrate the following competencies:

- Understanding of the perspectives and evidence needs of the various stakeholders involved in endpoint development and outcomes assessment (including clients and regulators).
- Ability to lead multiple projects, managing all aspects (scope, quality, time, finances, resources) to support timely delivery and the achievement of financial targets, with less oversight from the senior lead than required for a Research Manager.
- Ability to efficiently produce written documents of extremely high quality in terms of scientific content, style, and grammar, which meet our clients' needs and demonstrate clearly how the project meets our clients needs; such documents should require very little revision to be client-ready.
- Expertise in conducting all aspects of qualitative and/or quantitative healthcare research with minimal senior support.
- Ability to critically assess existing COA instruments, evaluating their strengths and weaknesses.


- Essential A Bachelor's degree, in a relevant subject, such as health psychology, psychology, sociology, or life sciences
- Essential A postgraduate qualification in a relevant subject, such as health psychology, psychology, sociology, public health or life sciences, or equivalent relevant experience
- Essential Evidence of expertise in the selection, development, evaluation and implementation of patient-, clinician- and/or observer-reported outcomes assessments
- Essential Experience of leading projects to select, develop, evaluate and implement outcomes assessments
- Essential Excellent data analysis skills
- Essential Excellent written and verbal comm
