We are now looking to recruit an Operations Lead to join support our team on the Hinkley Point C contract based in Somerset. This role is offered as a 12-month Fixed Term Contract.

The Role:

The primary role of the Operations Lead will be to take a lead in the day-to-day management of the contract, contributing to the effective management of all operational costs and services along with the effective implementation of a safety-first culture and the operational aspects of the Service Information contract plan. The post holder will also be responsible for:

- Managing the site operatives and health and safety practices
- Effectively and efficiently manage the waste streams arising in accordance with customer, company, contractual and legislative requirements.
- Ensuring that the site is operated to all applicable licences and permits.
- Interfacing with site users
- Acting as the main point of contact with the client and sub-contractors.

Shift patterns are to be confirmed and, whilst flexibility is required, these will primarily be during hours agreed with the Contract Manager between Monday to Friday.

Our ideal Operations Lead:

You must be able to demonstrate the ability to provide the budgetary and financial controls and be able to operate effectively in an "Open Book" environment involving regular detailed and comprehensive customer reviews. You will also:

- Have a proven track record demonstrating operational leadership within a construction environment
- Have a good understanding of logistics and a proven track record of positive accountability
- Hold NEBOSH, SSSTS, CSCS and NVQ Level 3 Diploma
- Excellent communication skills combined with logical problem-solving skills
- Understanding of Quality Management and of "what good looks like"
- Ability to analyse data and make recommendations
- Enthusiastic, committed and able to respond positively to changing demands
