Deputy Room Leader (Permanent)

The Company:

My Clients are a privately owned and family run, registered children's day nursery located in a quiet residential street in Finchley Central, London. The nursery is within walking distance of the beautiful grounds of Avenue House, Victoria Park and Finchley Central underground station.

Ofsted registered OUTSTANDING and NDNA Nursery of the year South 2018 award.

The setting, a large Edwardian house with extensive gardens has been transformed and equipped to offer the highest standards of care for children aged between 3 months and 5 years in line with National standards, the Early Years Foundation Framework and parental aspirations.

Children are cared for in a loving, safe and happy environment.

Cognitive, linguistic, spiritual, social, emotional and physical development is promoted through a variety of activities thus enabling children to fully explore their individual capabilities.

The Role:

My Client are looking for a passionate Deputy Pre-school Room Leader who is committed to inspiring and leading a team to provide a fantastic learning experience for all children, caring for them within a home-from-home, family-feel environment.

Having had leadership experience, and with an excellent knowledge of the EYFS, applicants must be able to effectively model outstanding practice to the team, with personable communication and great people skills.

The ideal candidate must be an experienced full-time Level 3 Nursery Nurse/Current Senior.

You need to be enthusiastic, bubbly, and outgoing. Additionally you must be committed to providing children with the very best care and stimulation. My clients also want you to be keen to progress and develop your own skills and knowledge and skills.

This role is full time (40 hours)

Your Responsibilities:

Experience of planning, observing and assessing children in your care is important.

NVQ level 3 qualified, a first aid qualification is also preferred.

You need a firm understanding of the EYFS framework

Promote high standards of quality within the nursery in respect of the environment, resources and experiences offered to children.

Maintain accurate and effective children's records, being responsible for own group of Key Children.

Inspire your team to plan appropriately for children using the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum for guidance.

Work in partnership with parents/carers and other family members, establishing effective relationships.

Support the development of good practice with regard to Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and Inclusion.
