My client is currently looking for a PBX Support Engineer to join a growing, multi award winning and leading business to business communications provider.
As the company continue to grow, they are looking to expand the technical support team and invite applications from experienced engineers possessing a real passion for IT and technology with experience or a strong desire to cross-train into telephony systems implementation, upgrades and support.
You will join a skilled and dedicated team providing a high level of effective technical support and guidance to our extensive customer base. This role will be field, and office based.

You will have the following responsibilities:

�Provide hardware and software technical support for several telephony platforms, remotely via telephone and email and on-site where required
�Demonstrate the ability and motivation to become a technical professional who can gain the trust and respect of the business and customers
�System configuration changes, monitoring and upgrading adhering to SLA’s
�Produce and maintain detailed documentation, including comprehensive logging via CRM system

Successful candidates will have the following experience:
�Previous experience of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems – Server & Desktop
�Demonstrable knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, LAN’s & WAN’s
�Experience of NEC, Avaya, Samsung, Panasonic, SpliceCom, Siemens PBX solutions including UC and call centres applications – full training will be provided where necessary
�Understanding of VoIP, SIP, RTP, TCP & UDP protocols, Layer 2 and 3 routing, VLAN’s and QOS and familiarity with using tools such as Wireshark
•Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a tenacious personality as problems can be complex and involved
•Possess a natural initiative and pro-activeness, with a flexible mind and attitude together with the ability to communicate complex issues and solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels in an organisation
•Be part of the 24/7 out of hours rota to provide a professional service to our customers
•Willingness to stay away if required to complete work were appropriate.
•Full clean UK driving license is essential
