National Care Group are now looking to recruit a talented and driven Area Operations Manager to aid with the future growth of the business and the provision of high-quality care and support across our North East services. Our services offer support and care to Elderly residents and adults with Learning Disabilities and Mental Health conditions. This position will expect you to be a key member of the team in working to improve and develop service quality and delivery, while also holding registration for one of our services, currently delivering 5000 hours of care.

The Role

Reporting into our Regional Manager, the successful Area Operations Manager will be a key member of the team in working to improve and develop service quality and delivery. You will take an active part in developing our Elderly, Mental Health and Learning Disability Residential and Supported Living services organically and through your relationship with local authorities.

You will be a key mentor for your reports and develop individual members of staff, in order to strengthening the team around the people we support. The role requires a high level of organisational, budgeting and planning skills, to drive efficiency and service standards within CQC requirements.

- Lead, support and direct Registered/Service Managers to ensure that assessments and personalised care and support is provided for our service users
- Be the registered individual for one of the businesses in your area, delivering 5000 hours of care
- Work to support Registered/Service Manager to develop and review appropriate Support Plans and Risk Assessments and other documentation as required
- Plan and implement local links in the community to facilitate the integration of service users in the local area
- Support the Senior Management Team to investigate accidents and incidents throughout the organisation, ensuring that safeguards are implemented
- Work with Registered Managers to manage service efficiency
- Work in partnership with the Estates Team to ensure each service maintains a high standard of physical appearance, safety and security, through regular audits and inspections
- Support Registered/Service Manager to manage their staff performance and rectify poor performance as required
- Plan and implement strategies for both organic growth and growth through business development, through liaising and building relationships with local commissioners/authorities.
- Ensuring all support is fully compliant with the Company's statutory obligations and develop and operate within agreed budgets. Fully accountable for the achievement of EBITA budgets
- Ensuring that all defined Business plan objectives are met.
- Ensures attendance at local provider forums to increase the profile of the organisation
- Has responsibility for the quality of service provision, including good CQC reports, Supporting People reviews and internal audits.

Who are we looking for?

As our ideal Area Operations Manager, you must be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills coupled with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks. Proven experience working in the care industry as a Registered Manager or Senior role is essential. You will also rNo terminology in this advert is intended to be deemed discriminatory.
