"An unrivalled opportunity for an ambitious Quantity Surveyor looking for exposure to commercially managing a portfolio of structures projects, working in a technically challenging environment but with the offering of a learning experience not easily gained elsewhere".

A business committed to the improvement of the UK's transportation/infrastructure structureswhich carry road and rail transportation over land and water are looking to add to their existing team commercial team due to recent success with tenders and ongoing growth. With a proud track record and a core business of delivering bridge projects, whether Grade II listed or less iconic structures and incorporated as a private limited company in 2005 this is a business proud of their reputation for delivering high quality specialist sub-contracting services in all areas of structural steelwork engineering within the built environment; including the refurbishment of road, rail and marine structures and fabrication and erection of miscellaneous metalwork to heavy steel structures.

With an experienced management and technical team coupled with dedicated resources and expertise in bridgeworks and strengthening of metallic and composite structures the business is now looking to add to the team as part of their plans for the future and coping with a growing workload. Alongside design partners, they are working to provide bespoke design and buildable solutions for complex refurbishment, fabrication and temporary works installation.

What can you bring to this role?

Having a qualification in a relevant subject area such as Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management you will utilise your existing skills and experience by offering cost management and Quantity Surveying skills to new and existing projects. Experience in a Construction/Transportation Infrastructure environment will be key to your success in the role along with experience of administering NEC forms of contract (essential for the role).

You should be able to demonstrate an ability to learn and progress quickly with solid skills as Quantity Surveyor consisting of the usual cost reporting, valuations, change management and cost value reconciliation responsibilities.
