Teaching Personnel are currently working in partnership with a secondary school in Salford whoa re looking to fill an upcoming gap in September 2019 in their Maths department. This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful and supportive department within a ‘Good’ school on a fixed term contract for the duration of the academic year. Following the successful completion of the contract, there is a strong possibility of the successful candidate being offered a permanent contract.

Our partner school is located in the Media City area of Salford and is smaller than average with just over 500 students currently enrolled, with the school looking at expanding over the coming years. With a positive Progress 8 score in line with the national average, students in attendance at our partner school make good progress and in their most recent Ofsted inspection, inspectors stated that “teachers use effective approaches in lessons” and “utilise high expectations and skilful questioning” which all contribute to the progress that students make.

The post would be suitable for an experienced or newly qualified teacher. Prospective candidates for this role should have relevant qualifications and hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) within the UK. The ideal candidate should have experience teaching Mathematics to both KS3 and KS4. The successful candidate will be joining a collaborative department that has a successful track record of raising student’s attainment, and have a continued commitment to CPD.
