Job type: Fixed term maternity cover contract, full time with an early finish on a Friday

Blatchford is a world leading rehabilitation provider with clinical expertise in prosthetics, orthotics, special seating and wheelchairs. We design and manufacture the multi award-winning Endolite range of lower limb prostheses and provide clinical services to the NHS, military and patients internationally. With 128 years of innovation and expertise behind us, we produce the world's most advanced microprocessor artificial limbs.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Advisor to join our HR team in Basingstoke and be the first point of contact, providing advice and guidance for all of the routine HR issues for our Head Office and manufacturing sites.

The role is an integral part of a pragmatic HR team who provide an exceptional HR service to our unique organisation and it is an excellent opportunity for you to develop and enhance your skills in HR.

Responsibilities of the HR Advisor:

Recruitment:

* Identify and use the most appropriate route to market to attract the right, high calibre recruits and promote Blatchford as an employer of choice
* Work with recruitment agencies and other external bodies to ensure we get value for money.
* Look for innovative ways to find and recruit talent, occasionally this may be outside of the UK.
* Screen and recommend CV's to recruiting managers and provide support at interviews as required.
* Produce recruitment and resourcing MI

HR advice and guidance:

* Provide a comprehensive HR advisory service, on all matters, to Managers and team leaders.
* Provide advice and guidance on employee relations matters such as absence and sickness, disciplinaries and grievances, reorganisations
* Ensure managers and team leaders follow HR processes in the management of their employees. Provide training and coaching where applicable
* Advice on appropriate training interventions as required. Work with the L&D BP to support training needs analysis, intervention identification and ROI
* Ensure managers complete all people related tasks, including performance management, succession planning and development plans.
* Provide guidance and assistance during the annual performance review process
* Support the MI reporting requirements
* Manage priorities of casework and projects
* Maintain up to date awareness of employment legislation.
* Support the development or HR/People polices as required. Ensure polices are updated as required.
* Support and promote internal communications and advise on employee engagement initiatives.
* Oversee the induction process for new starters.
* Check monthly payroll submission, prior to commit. Request changes as required
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR in the business.
* Provide guidance and support to the HR Admin team.

Requirements of the HR Advisor:

Previous HR experience is essential. Previous experience working in a manufacturing or clinical environment is advantageous, though not essential. It is beneficial to have previous experience of employee relations case management and managing recruitment and working knowledge of employment law is essential.
