Deputy Manager - Care

37.5 hours per week (Permanent Contract)

Servol is a mental health service provider with units in both Birmingham and London and is currently recruiting for an experienced Deputy Manager, to work with the Registered Care Manager in a 24 hour supported living Service, which provides support for people experiencing or recovering from mental ill health.

The Deputy Manager Role
The Deputy Manager role will include the following responsibilities:

* To work under the direction of the Registered Manager to ensure a quality service is delivered, that is responsive to the needs of the individuals it supports.
* Be responsible with the Registered Manager for maintaining standards in the service and ensuring the service meets CQC requirements. Notifying the manager of any issues affecting the quality of service
* To play a key role in promoting a recovery focussed service
* To be available for other team members to offer advice and guidance on clients changing mental health, promoting recovery and supporting relapse management
* To deputise for the Registered Manager as directed
* To work flexibly across the Locality
* Provide on call support as part of a rota and in the Registered Managers absence
* To contribute to all assessments of prospective or current service users at the service
* To work across other Servol Birmingham services on occasion as required
* Contribute to multi-disciplinary meetings and act as an advocate on behalf of clients

Requirements for the Deputy Manager Role
The ideal candidate for the role will have the following skills and attributes:

* Established previous supervisory experience ideally within mental health
* Qualified to NVQ/RQF Level 3/RMA or equivalent qualifications
* A good working knowledge of Care Quality Commission standards and requirements
* Experience of dealing with complex issues that a diverse and vulnerable group of service users face
* Experience of delivering services that comply with Health and Safety legislation
* Knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act, DoLS and SOVA
* A professional and organised approach
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to listen and communicate effectively at all levels
* Strong IT skills, with the ability to use databases for record keeping.
* Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
