About The Role

The role of the Playworker is to participate in activities with disabled children and young people in a play group setting. To work as part of a team supporting the provision of an exciting and challenging programme of activities in a safe and stimulating environment for children/young people with a range of disabilities/additional needs such as autism, behavioural, learning and emotional difficulties.

The Play worker will be working in partnership with parents/carers, to encourage the children to play adventurously, creatively and imaginatively, and to enable them to obtain the full benefit of the facilities provided by the service.

This is a sessional position offering flexible working hours during evenings, weekends and school holidays. Currently there are a number of summer positions available, however the scheme is recruiting for this post all year round. To be involved in the summer schemes, submit your applications as soon as possible, as groups are due to start in July.
