�25,000 PA - OTE �30,000

Benefits: 20 days holiday, 7.5% - 7.5% pension, bonus scheme, overtime paid at 1.5% and double time.

My client is leading in their field and are one of the only sites to be so clean within the FMCG industry. They are currently expanding the site with new lines being added last year and are currently undergoing installations of new automated machinery with plans for new lines towards the end of the year. This role would suit anybody who is looking to get into maintenance engineering but are not yet qualified or have recently qualified and are looking for exposure into a food processing site to gain further experience. My client are offering training to the right candidates who prove themselves to be keen and willing to learn, and currently they are sponsoring an employee through an engineering degree.

As a Trainee Maintenance Engineer you will:

* Strip and re-assemble machinery each shift for hygiene cleaning.
* Assist the team of Maintenance Engineers on breakdowns and PPM's.
* Work in the workshop in various projects welding and fabricating.
* Work mechanically on components such as: bearings, chains, rollers, belts, sprockets and gearboxes.
* Work electrically on components such as: motors, sensors, fuses and switches.

As a Trainee Maintenance Engineer you should have the following:

* Previous experience working within an engineering environment.
* Have the ability to mechanical strip and rebuild components.
* A methodical mind set, with the ability to problem solve and adapt with short notice.
* The ability to work within a proactive nature.
* Have a passion for engineering.
* It would be advantageous if you have the ability to weld and use machines such as lathes but it is not essential.

It would be advantageous if you held City & Guilds Engineering qualifications. However, my client would also accept time served engineers with no formal qualifications.
