KS3-5 Maths Teacher

The Head Teacher of a Comprehensive Secondary School in Preston is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Teacher of Maths to join their Maths Department in September 2019.

The Maths Department consists of 8 members of staff and consistently produces outstanding results. It's noted that “Pupils make outstanding progress in Maths" - this is due to strong teachers and excellent intervention

The Maths Department currently follow the EDUQAS specification at GCSE and the AQA specifications at A Level.

Requirements:

* Hold QTS
* Have experience teaching Maths up to A-level
* Have experience with at least the AQA specification
* Promote good progress and outcomes by pupils
* Demonstrate excellent subject and curriculum knowledge

The role:

The successful candidate will teach at KS3 and GCSE level initially, with the possibility to take on A Level classes, depending on performance in your first few months. The successful candidate may also teach KS3 Science so experience of this would be an advantage but is not an essential requirement.
