Teaching Assistant (Humanities Graduates)

Are you a graduate or due to graduate this summer from a humanities subject? (e.g. Geography, History, MFL, RE)

Are you looking to gain experience as a Teaching Assistant in a secondary school prior to applying for a PGCE?

The UK’s leading education recruiters, Teaching Personnel, are currently looking to take on a humanities graduate for a Teaching Assistant role starting in September! This is a full-time temporary position until December initially, with the likelihood of being extended for another term for the right candidate.

* Full-time Teaching Assistant required
* September to December 2019 initially
* Well established and supportive secondary school based in central Manchester
* Earn up to �1200 a month (paid weekly)
* Great way to gain experience if considering a career in secondary teaching
* Previous experience working with young people in a similar capacity is desirable but not essential

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a humanities graduate to join one of Teaching Personnel’s client secondary schools from September as a full- time Teaching Assistant.

Ahead of September, the school is requiring most support across the humanities department and so the head teacher of this central Manchester secondary school is looking for a fresh, enthusiastic and dedicated humanities graduate to help provide this additional support and boost attainment across the department!

The successful candidate will join the school’s humanities department as a graduate Teaching Assistant where you will:

* Provide general classroom support to the class teacher (lesson planning and preparation)
* Deliver tailored learning activities to pupils who struggle to engage, in small groups and on 1:1 when required
* Assisting with classroom and behaviour management
* Opportunity to provide support / tuition in your subject specialism!
