We are looking for applicants who would love the opportunity to work in an educational environment, supporting students who have Social, Emotional and Mental health issues, to start in September on a full time or flexible basis.

Teaching Personnel work with a number of Pupil Referral Units in and around Manchester, which provide an adapted curriculum to students who have been excluded from mainstream schools. Many of these students have social, emotional and mental health needs which can include but is not limited to ADHD, ASD, and anxiety.

As a Teaching Assistant you will support the students within the classroom, assisting with delivering the curriculum and helping to manage behaviour. You will be expected to act as role model for the students and help them to understand the consequences of their behaviour, and help them to make the right choices to.

You will need to have a calm and collected approach to behaviour management, whilst being resilient and firm. It's important to be honest and approachable as the students require a secure and settled environment.

Please be aware that all applicants must have a child workforce DBS which is registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one.
