Learning Support Mentor – Wythenshawe

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit graduates and aspiring teachers to become a Learning Support Mentor in a Wythenshawe based secondary school from September! This is a full-time temporary position starting in September until December initially, with a view to be extended.

Role and Responsibilities of a Learning Support Mentor:

* Similar to that of a Teaching Assistant, you will offer support and guidance to young people who are struggling with their learning.
* Monday to Friday, 8:30 – 3:30
* Earn �250-�300 per week
* Working alongside teachers with identified pupils to best support them.
* Delivering tailored learning activities to promote engagement and attainment, in small groups and on 1:1.
* Covering a variety of issues including; challenging behaviour, mild SEN, additional support to pupils who are underachieving or on a grade border line.
* Supporting Year 7 pupils with transition activities who are starting with the secondary school in September.
* Great way to gain experience as a Learning Support Mentor if considering a career a teaching / a PGCE
* Very rewarding role if passionate about supporting the learning on young, disadvantaged pupils
