Teaching Personnel
Job Ref:

Teaching Personnel are looking for tutors for a variety of referrals across Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire. Ideally you will have experience and a good working knowledge of Mental Health and Attachment Disorder as many of these students have experienced trauma and extremely difficult childhoods, including self-harming behaviour, drug misuse, domestic violence and gang cultures.

We work with a variety of provisions including Virtual Schools, Alternative Provisions and Local Authority Teams who all provide us with bespoke referrals for children who are struggling in mainstream school, or do not currently have education placements.

We like to give our tutors regular work - one of our current tutors has commented that "Teaching Personnel are friendly, consultative and less pushy than others. There are a variety of opportunities available; I was offered four different roles in a week. Big thanks to Emma and the team for finding me work that is personally rewarding"

The referrals that we have available on a regular basis include students with the following:

* Autism
* Attachment Disorder
* Severe Mental Health Difficulties
* Young Offenders
* Pupils at risk of exclusion or excluded students
* Students not coping with mainstream education
* Students who are requiring 1:1 intervention to help boost their attainment levels with SATS and GCSE's

The roles will generally involve planning your own work so a good knowledge of the curriculum is essential across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Often the students will be working below expected levels due to gaps in their education.

If you are interested in these types of roles, please contact Emma Gale on the number provided or click Apply now!

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
