Higginson & Co (UK) Limited, a Chartered Accountant based in Dunstable, is looking for an Office Administrator / Receptionist to join the team.

SALARY: £ 13.00 per hour

WORKING HOURS: Part time, permanent. Monday – Thursday 14:00 – 17:30, Friday 14:00 – 17:00 

THE ROLE: As an Office Administrator / Receptionist you will join an established team in Dunstable and will assist with a varied range of office administration and receptionist duties.

You will be the first point of contact for clients so should have a professional appearance and polite nature with excellent interpersonal skills. You will be speaking with clients on a face to face basis, so should be able to demonstrate a calm and professional demeanour.

The role will also require you to carry out a range of general administration duties on an ad hoc basis such as processing invoices, updating records/data entry, filling and other associated tasks. 

A typical day…

• Front of house reception duties
• Carrying out Onboarding process for new clients
• Creating, issuing and chasing engagement letters
• Adding clients to IRIS software
• Requesting and providing professional clearance
• Adhering to strict compliance laws – processing Anti Money Laundering checks
• Filing, photocopying, scanning, archiving

We say a typical day, but no one day is the same. This role would suit someone with a flexible attitude and willing to undertake additional tasks where required.

Key skills required for the role of Office Administrator / Receptionist based in Dunstable, Bedfordshire:

• Must be able to demonstrate strong administrative skills 
• Ability to deal calmly and professional with clients over the phone and face to face
• IT literate and competent user of Microsoft packages
• Live within a commutable distance of Dunstable, Bedfordshire
• Excellent and demonstrable numeracy and literacy skills
• Experience using IRIS would be an advantage
• Able to work independently
• Work well as a small team, willing to help out with a wide range of tasks that may arise.
