I am looking for a Clinical Services Manager / Inpatient Manager to lead the staff on their Wards, by reporting to the Director of Clinical Services the post holder will have responsibility of all Inpatient nursing services including HDU and Oncology.

The ideal candidate will already be a Senior Registered Nurse with some degree of surgical ward management experience; this can range from a proven Nurse Manager or a sister looking to take her next step and experience her first managerial post. You will receive full training upon joining but my client does ask that you have a strong nursing background, working in an acute care setting with previous HDU and, or Oncology.

Within this role you will be expected to be a highly visible leader delivering the provision of clinical and professional leadership to the Critical Care team, whilst being available to patients and consultants to promote confidence in our services.

Therefore, your duties will be:

* � To strategically plan the clinical services, responsible for day to day organisation and management of clinical departments.
* � Providing clear direction and leadership to all clinical staff, whilst supporting the initiatives of the hospital. Taking responsibility to lead the department under the direction of the Director of Clinical Services.
* � Responsible for the deployment, supervision and teaching of staff within the clinical area supporting the hospital management team in providing clinical leadership.
* � The role is responsible for development, motivation and performance of all clinical staff, ensuring the achievement of CQC Standards as required for nursing services in an acute care hospital accepting planned and emergency surgical and medical admissions.
* � To work clinical as required, with a minimum of one clinical shift per week.
* � Achievement of labour management target, nursing costs KPI and weekly completion of staff utilisation spreadsheets.
* � To ensure the provision of individualised patient care.
* � To promote and safeguard the wellbeing and interests of all patients, employees and visitors.
* Successful applicants should meet the following criteria:
* � Evidence of relevant professional development, both clinically, managerially, preferably evidenced by certification RN with valid NMC Registration
* � Registered Nurse Level 1 / Diploma / BSc in Nursing Studies.
* � Robust understanding of Clinical Governance requirements for the area.
* � Up-to-date knowledge in area of practice.
* � Awareness of NMC Code of Accountability.
* � Recruitment and selection skills.
* � Excellent organisation and multitasking skills required.
* � Ability to motivate a team of clinical professionals.

This a full-time position, 37.5 hours per week with a shifts pattern which may include weekends, mornings, late shifts and long days.
