This multi-award winning North Yorkshire Hotel & Restaurant with two eating outlets are looking for a competant Chef de Partie in all sections of the kitchen as required
It is within the busy and vibrant award winning restaurant that a talented Chef de Partie will be joining the small-established brigade. Successful candidates must be flexible and dedicated to producing food to the high standards that have already been established. Offering a novel approach to cuisine, the menu is delicious, yet simple and proves to be a popular combination with diners.
The 4AA Rosette Restaurant at this beautiful hotel within stunning surroundings combines classical country house style with fresh, exciting modern British menus from one of the UK`s most talented young Head Chefs and his team of dedicated and passionate chefs. The seasonal tasting menu uses some of Yorkshire`s finest ingredients, including those grown in the hotel`s own kitchen garden,reared orproduced locally. There is a choice of stunning and delicious dishes. The warm and friendly welcome along withpersonal service will make you feel totally relaxed during this special dining experience.
The kitchens garden produces herbs, edible flowers, fruit & vegetables which chefs use inthe seasonal dishes. They also have harvests of tomatoes, courgettes, cucumbers, baby beets, strawberries & edible flowers.
Your duties will include:
Aiding the Head Chef in the day to day running of the kitchen
Ordering of food
Carrying out stock checks
Ensuring the correct standards are in place and if not, to redirect and control.
Training of the junior chefs
Up keeping the high standards that are already in place
Qualifications/Experience required:
Previous experience in a establishment that was accredited with Rosettes this position would suit a experienced Chef de Partie looking to move to an exceptional establishment. Must have NVQ level 1&2 or equivalent and a full understanding of food safety and hygiene. Applicants must be well presented and have strong leadership skills. It is also necessary that all applicants have a stable CV with excellent references.
