The Company and the Role:
The Company is a global temporary facility builder, and integrated FM and Logistics provider. They operate in a number of environments but within the UK their work tends to focus on providing support services to large engineering and construction projects.
The company has recently won a contract to build a number of temporary buildings, including Offices, Canteens, Welfare facilities, Medical room, Warehouses and a Training facility, in support of a major construction and engineering project in the Waterside area of Southampton.
It is now urgently seeking applications for the position of Electrical Foreman/Woman Authorised Person Low Voltage.
Opportunities exist with the company on the project which is likely to start around early September until November 2019. There is a strong possibility that the role could be extended to March 2020.

Key Features of the Role:
Plans, supervises and performs all phases of installation of electrical systems and conducts regular inspection and maintenance of equipment and tools.
Control the safe systems of electrical work and maintain and operate the permit to work system in controlled areas.
Sanction tests in line with the Electricity at Works Act 1989 and provide approved testing procedures.
Attend client briefings for HRTA permits and detail drawings.
Provide isolation procedures and to sign off certification.
Provide technical supervision of Electrical, IT, Fire Alarm, CCTV works.
Supervise electrical field work and small projects if needed.
Undertake feasibility assessments and site inspections and make recommendations or presenting alternative solutions to problems.
Inspects installations for quality, ensuring codes are met.
As the Electrical Foreman/Woman Authorised Person Low Voltage use your experience to ensure workers follow and adhere to company, client and OSHA safety rules and regulations.
Maintains a proper record of completed tasks and the methods used to achieve goals and objectives and prepare daily work permits, time tickets, documenting and approving work performed, materials used, costs, etc.
Review safety task assessment cards from personnel and provide pre safety task assignment.
Provide safe work observations (SWO) and ensure that employees are fully trained in the required PPE for assigned tasks.
Ensure compliance with Personal Fall Arrest System (PFAS) and generate and ensure compliance for Confined space entry, Excavations, Motorized heavy equipment, Energy Isolation, Hot works, On, near or over water.
Follow hazard elimination program (HELP).

Knowledge and Skills Required:
Be an accomplished Electrical Foreman/Woman and also be Authorised Person Low Voltage certificated and hold relevant certification to undertake electrical work.
18th Edition and Inspection related certification.
Proficient with hand and power tools as well as heavy equipment.
Utilise your experience to schedule crews and managing daily customer deliverables and able to set and balance priorities in order to complete projects on time.
Able to demonstrative safety leadership and excellent team-building and motivational skills.
Hold a CSCS/ECS Gold Card with relevant City and Guilds certification including 2391, ideally with hazardous area and commercial experience.
Ideally hold JSP 375 Electrical Authorised person certification and or Compex Electrical certification
Able to read installation manuals, tutorials, highly specialized drawings and interpret
