With over 100 years of experience, one of the largest privately owned Consulting Engineering Practices in the UK are now recruiting for a Structural Engineer to join their Leeds office.

Our client, a multi-disciplinary consultancy in all sectors, provide a wide range of associated services to manage and drive projects of all sizes and complexities, from inception through to completion.

The Role

We are looking to recruit a Structural Engineer, on behalf of our client, to join their growing Structures team.

The successful candidate will have a fantastic opportunity to work in one of the UK's leading

Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy's, working with governments, businesses, architects and planners, providing integrated solutions across many disciplines.

Depending on experience, as you progress you can expect to be active on a number of projects and with a number of clients at any given time.

The Structures team specialises in providing sustainable engineering solutions, from planning through to full implementation. The team specialises in providing high level advice to mainly private sector Clients on all forms of Structures, including retail, hotels, schools, universities, housing, commercial offices and industrial developments throughout the UK.

Role Responsibilities:

- Analyse and design structural components of a building or other structure to Eurocodes (and British Standards) of new and existing properties in steel, concrete, masonry and timber
- Undertake analysis and design using a range of software packages, including CSC, Fastrak, Tekkla, Building Design, TEDDS to back up reporting tasks
- Ensure that quality and consistency of technical output (drawings, reports, calcs etc) is always maintained
- Work large and small projects including retail, offices, hotels, large housing developments etc
- A clean driving licence is essential
- Work towards achieving Chartered Member status with IStructE or ICE

Essential Skills & Requirements:

- Strong degree in Structural Engineering is essential
- 4 years' minimum Post-Graduation experience within a consultancy is essential
- Varied experience in all the common forms of construction and building types
- Experience of high rise constructions essential
- Experience of assessing existing structures
- Excellent written & verbal communication and numerical skills required
- Experience of structural analysis design and analysis software essential
- Experience of work on large projects, offices, hotels, housing developments etc
- Use of Eurocodes
- Full clean driving license
