Rail infrastructure Project Manager needed for a permanent position in London

My client are one of the leading consultancies in the UK and this is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing part of their business.

The Cost and Management Services Infrastructure team has a good reputation as specialist consultants in the disciplines of Commercial Management, Project Management Consultancy and PMO services.

Responsibilities:
�Deliver the project(s) safely to time, cost and quality, in accordance with the Guide to Railway Investment Projects (GRIP), applicable Railway Group, company standards and other specific legislation.
�Provide a professional, first class, consistent and effective project management service to the clients, including project monitoring and reporting systems in accordance with Railway Group, company standards and guidelines.
�Participate in the development of supply strategies and framework contracts.
�Provide detailed input for the compilation of the business plan and production of the possessions plan.
�Control project change, risks and contingency within the project life cycle and provide all cost, contingency and programme details.
�Provide a safe working environment in the execution of work directly under the post holder responsibility, including development of project safety plans and other associated documentation.
�Assist the Company in discharging its duties under CDM Regulations 2007(Construction, Design and Management Regulations).
�Identify training needs in safety, technical and management areas for the personnel reporting to the post holder and contribute to their personal development.
�Undertake accident investigations when remitted to by the relevant designated competent person.
�Comply with the Investment Competence Framework.

Requirements:

�Minimum of 5 years experience within the Rail Infrastructure sector
�Educated to degree standard in related subject
�Extensive professional experience within a consultancy environment
�Ideally Membership of a relevant professional institute - An excellent understanding of the principles of effective project and programme management. Prince2 or APM are preferred.
�Experience of management on contracts including the use of NEC3 (ECC and PSC) and sub-contractor/consultant management.
�Experience in working with stakeholders including Local Authorities, Network Rail, TfL, DfT,Train Operating Companies, and Highways England. Ideally, this will have included direct secondments to operating companies or service providers.
