Sales Support

Location: Ladywell Mills, Bradford, BD4

Salary: �16,500 to �18,000, depending upon experience

Hours of Work: 8.30-5.30 Mon to Fri 60 min unpaid lunch

About the role:

A varied role which is process driven and would ideally suit someone with a keen eye for detail who enjoys producing top quality work from end to end in a timely manner. This role is expected to develop over time to include areas such as purchasing, trading, sales, analytics and reporting etc. The ideal candidate will be able to cope with the day to day whilst enjoying the opportunity to grow within the business and take on new challenges as necessary.

Sales Support Responsibilities:

General tasks

* General office duties including filing, archiving
* first point of contact within the office.
* Supporting and assisting the sales and administrative team as required
* Undertake the purchase and planning administration

Using the ERP System (X3 Sage)

* Processing purchase orders
* Generating invoices and debit and credit notes
* Stock control

Customer liaison

* Responding to customer queries (phone/mail)
* Developing rapport with the customers with the aim this will lead to visits in due course.
* Managing customer complaints, recording and escalating as appropriate
* Leading the quarterly customer complaints meetings (Sales / Admin attendance)
* Credit control and debt collection as required, escalating where necessary.

Supporting agents in overseas markets.

* Provide information as required relating to stock, pricing, availability, delivery etc
* Additional support as necessary.

Development Opportunities.

* Working with the sales team to understand the principles of purchasing / trading in the Yarn market
* Training on stock management and forward planning including forecasting and understanding market trends
* Growing contact with the customers and taking more responsibility for individual sales
* Undertaking training across all business functions for a fully rounded knowledge.
* Any other suitable tasks the business feels are appropriate.

Sales Support Requirements:

* Educated to A Level or equivalent standard in English and Maths ideally.
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar office-based role
* Strong communication skills both oral and written.
* Knowledge of ERP desirable, ideally Sage X3
* Demonstrable Microsoft Office skills to an intermediate level as a minimum including Word, Excel and Outlook.
* Able to work under own initiative
* Enjoys working in a quiet, relaxed environment with a small, friendly team.
* Friendly personality with an excellent telephone manner.
* Driving licence holder

Full In-house training within QC department on technical aspect given.
