The Company and The Role:
The Company is a UAE based foodservice wholesaler who is about to enter the UK delivered foodservice market. A Foodservice General Manager is now sought to set up and operate what will be a standalone business unit located in London. The position is permanent.
This is a truly outstanding opportunity for someone who wants to run a business as if it is their own.
Their offering will be to supply a wide range of core foodservice products across all temperature spans supported by a wide range of ethnic and Asian products.

Key Features of the Role:
General Manager - full P & L responsibility of the business
Identify and acquire suitable premises
Devise and implement sales strategy
Full management of all functions which will include the sales, telesales, purchasing, quality and operations teams.
Management of a team across different business disciplines
Management of the sales team overseeing full P&L.
Ensuring compliance of the business in all respects
Assuring excellence with the operations team to achieve full customer satisfaction.

Knowledge and Skills Required:
The ideal candidate will be an accomplished Foodservice professional with experience having been gained with a delivered foodservice wholesaler.
Knowledge and experience of importing and distributor of Asian and other ethnic foods is highly desirable.
You will ideally have previous P + L responsibility and must have previous team management experience (managing minimum 20 people).
Entrepreneurial, you will be someone who can run the business autonomously and be a decisive decision maker.
Someone who is willing to work hours that the business requires as the leader and new driving force.
Someone who is willing to get stuck in when challenges are hit.
Must have excellent management skills in communications, building relationships, inter-personal skills, motivation etc
Experienced with P&L's / food margins / negotiations / budgets / reporting / recruitment / face to face and telephone client management experience.
Someone who can grow and establish business opportunities.
Be numerate, have excellent presentation and communication skills, be able to communicate at all levels and be decisive, assertive and persuasive.
You will enjoy a high level of autonomy and therefore must be highly self-motivated to achieve agreed goals.
