My client, a global IT Consulting services firm are recruiting for a Machine learning and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Lead Engineer. This is a hands-on role and they are looking for a do-er from an engineering bent, you must be strong in design (big data design, ETL, data pipelines, LAMP, Spark, building models, analyse the data, settle the infrastructure, etc.).

This role is all about data - whether that be the cloud, analytics and/or data science; it's a vital ingredient they need in achieving their ambition in creating data products relevant to their clients.

My client provides high value business and IT consulting services to clients across multiple industries. This role will be based out of London with a degree of mobility as required across customer sites.

Your future duties and responsibilities

We are looking for a lead Consultant to help build Machine Learning infrastructure, data pipelines and API integrations, an ideal role for an expert in machine learning to help the firm extract value from data.

The Machine Learning SME will typically lead all the processes from data collection, cleaning, and pre-processing, to training models and deploying them to production. One could design and implement efficient pipelines using data exploration and Natural Language Processing (NLP), to deliver custom, scalable deep learning, and NLP solutions through prototyping, POC, and quantitative metrics.

The Machine Learning engineer will study and analyse problems, propose solutions and design experiments, whilst understanding business objectives and developing models that help to achieve them, along with associated metrics.

The Machine Learning consultant will also explore and visualise data, identify differences in data distribution that could affect performance when deploying the model in the real world, able to verify the data and supervise data acquisition process if more data is needed. and deploying models into production.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about Artificial Intelligence and this represents an exciting opportunity to help build the firms Advanced Analytics Capability as it takes flight out of their growing Emerging Technology practice.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

The successful candidate will demonstrate a track record in Machine Learning, with proficiency with a deep learning framework (such as TensorFlow or Keras), as well as skills in Java, Python and basic libraries for machine learning (such as scikit-learn and pandas). We're looking for expertise in visualizing and manipulating big datasets, APIs, CI/CD, Kubernetes, Docker and an ability to select hardware to run a Machine Learning model with the required latency.
