Graduate Training Scheme (Software Development)

Manchester

We are seeking two ambitious graduates (in a relevant IT subject) to join the Manchester office of a global software company. With an exciting graduate training scheme starting in October 2019, this is a rare opportunity for graduates to kick start their career within a fascinating and rewarding industry.

With offices in the UK, Europe, Canada, United States, New Zealand and Australia, our client delivers powerful software solutions to public libraries, archives, museums, galleries and academic institutions. They are now seeking the best graduates to begin a two year training program that will see you develop leading software development skills but also perform a real role that makes a true difference to the business.

Starting in October 2019, the successful graduates will receive all the training and support to reach their full potential. The two year graduate training scheme will consist of:

Nine months within the Research & Development team;
Nine months in Software Implementation;
Six months in either project delivery, technical support or customer service;
A two week placement in one of their overseas offices.
Under the guidance of the team you can expect to build an excellent foundation on which to build a long-term career in software development whilst developing a number of highly transferable non-technical skills (team working, communication and project management).

To qualify... We are seeking driven graduates who are determined to succeed and develop their careers in a supportive and collaborative environment. In more detail your CV should outline:

- A degree (or equivalent) in a relevant IT subject;
- Knowledge of and experience in a modern programming language;
- A passion for a technology and development;
- Eligibility to work in the UK (our client is not able to provide sponsorship);
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Excellent organisational skills, with accuracy and attention to detail;
- The ability to learn and develop new skills;
- The ability to work well within a team.

This is a unique opportunity to make your mark within a company leading the way in their field. In return, expect full training, a competitive salary, a whole bunch of extra benefits as well as a great working environment and tailored career development.
