Female Team Leader - Respite and Transition Service

Required to work an average of 35 hours per week, including sleep ins and weekends on a rota basis
Hourly rate starting at �9.00
�53.10 - �70.47 per sleep (age dependent)
*Waking night duties may also be required
*Role commencing early-mid November 2019

We are looking for a motivated, dynamic and proactive person to lead a new Respite and Transition service for young people with Learning Disabilities, Physical Disabilities and PMLD.

This exciting opportunity will involve input with the setting up and delivery of a new service, designed to provide innovative, proactive and outcome focused support for young people with a range of disabilities within an adapted property in Plymstock, Plymouth.

The role with involve practical, hands on support alongside administrative and leadership duties. You will be provided with an average of 6 supernumerary hours to complete administrative tasks and be involved with the development of the service in partnership with the management team. This will be reviewed as the service develops, with the potential of increased responsibilities.

*A female is required for this role as the core users of the service with be young ladies requiring intimate personal care.

For this role, you will need:

- to have experience of supporting people with PMLD and complex care needs
- to have experience in providing practical, hands on support with personal care
- to have experience of leading a team of staff
- to have experience in care and support planning processes
- to be an effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- to maintain confidentiality at all times and handle sensitive information appropriately
- to manage your time effectively and be proactive in your approach to working hours
- to be responsive and adaptable to the changing needs of our operation
- to be competent in the use of I.T, especially word and excel
- to have excellent record keeping skills
- to be a driver with access to your own vehicle and hold business insurance
