Teaching Personnel is working with an OFSTED rated ‘Good school’ in the Disley area of Stockport, who are actively searching for SEN Support workers to join the school. The ideal candidate would have:

* A recent Psychology degree
* Experience of working with SEMH and/or Moderate Learning difficulties/ Willingness to train
* A patient and caring personality

The school is for ages 7 to 18 for day school, 9 and 18 for residential school, and the pupils may have social emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), moderate learning difficulties (MLD), autism (ASC), Asperger’s and other communication and sensory difficulties. Due to the schools option of residential care it provide much more immersive environments for its pupils to benefit and learn from. Services which the school offers its pupils include owl, equine, canine and occupational therapy. Due to this personalised and dedicated approach the school is highly regarded by its pupils, their parents and the local authority. The school are incredibly keen to appoint some new teachings assistants to work with them and fulfil their pupil’s incredible potential.

Your role at the school would be to assist the class teacher and possibly support other TA’s in the room throughout the school day. Your main duties will include helping pupils with their work, assistance in group work activities, providing an alternative environment for the pupils to work to promote the pupils progress and help them reach their full potential.
