A secondary SEN school in Plymouth are currently recruiting for Behaviour Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis to support pupils with ASC and challenging behaviour. The role is to start immediately and you must have a driving licence and access to a car daily.

About the role :

* SEN Teaching Assistant
* Supporting a pupil with challenging behaviour and ASC
* Full Time (Monday to Friday 8:30 - 15:30) term time only
* This is an ongoing role, initially until Christmas 2019
* Immediate start

About the School:

This SEN School in Plymouth caters for primary aged children with a range of learning difficulties, including Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC), and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties. All the pupils have a Statement of Special Educational Needs (SEN) or an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP).

The ideal candidate / desired skills and experience:

* Available to start immediately
* MUST have a driving licence and access to a car daily
* MUST have a NVQ Level 3 in a child related subject or higher
* Commit to a full time long term role (5 days a week)
* PECS and Makaton experience
* MAPA or Team Teach (or equivalent positive handling training)
* SEMH/SEN experience
* Engaging personality
* The ability to build strong relationships
* Teaching assistant/ Learning Support Assistant
* Youth work / Support Work / Care Work/ Sports background

In order to work for Teaching Personnel and clear our vetting process, you must have a Child Workforce DBS subscribed to the Update Service. Full assistance will be provided should you need to apply for a new check, at a standard cost of �44, plus an annual subscription fee of �13 for the Update Service.
