Junior Finance Business Partner- FTC to cover Maternity leave.

Are you a finance professional (part qualified/qualified) looking for that next move? We are currently looking for an ambitious Junior Finance Business Partner to join our busy Healthcare team here in Parklands, Rubery.

This person will Report directly into the senior finance business and will provide key financial support and business insight to the Retail Healthcare business to understand weekly P&L performance against budget/forecast/flash, quantify risk and maximise business performance. They will be required to join together an array of data sources from EPOS, purchasing data and purchasing income analysis in order to help explain financial performance and make recommendations as to key actions required.   

UK&I Healthcare accounts for 15% of UK&I total revenue and operates in 4 subsectors; 1) Medirest FM services 2) Retail 3) Private Healthcare & Small SIte Business and 4) Steamplicity 3rd party.  Healthcare Retail provides High Street retail offers to NHS Trusts and their landlords in exchange for commercial rents.  The business has a turnover in excess of £130m in cash sales having grown from £20m over the past 7 years and continues to have a strong pipeline for continued growth.

Main ResponsibilitiesReporting into the senior finance business your day to day responsibilities will include the following:

• Analysis of weekly P&L flash performance to identify trends and actions - cash sales, labour to sales %, repair costs etc.

• Brand analysis of GP performance to ensure that inflation is passed onto consumers

• Month end support during R&A process to finalise result in line with expectations/flash or explain variances

• Support Senior Finance Business Partner with the Budgeting / Forecasting process

• Upload of budgets and forecasts in line with agreed targets as set by MD and Retail Finance Manager

• Link in with FACT team to ensure that control accounts are adequate and reflect liabilities

• Ad-hoc analysis to help MD appraise impact of promotional activities including changes of Routes to Market and products

• Maximise value from EPOS data available drawing out the 'so what' for the operators

• Work with operators to ensure that in unit overhead costs are well controlled

• Supporting operators understand their P&L performance and actions plans required

• Deputise for Senior Finance Business Partner when required for sector business reviews and weekly update calls as required

• Validate Agility initiative savings

• Quantify financial risk of headwinds faced by business including but not limited to CQUIN, National Living Wage, Rates increases
The Ideal CandidateThe right person:

You will already have experience within a finance position and will be able to demonstrate a level of working autonomously.

* Qualified CIMA /ACCA or Equivalent.

* Experienced working With SAP, Cognos or Similar

* Advanced Excel

* Ability to explain and analyse complex datasets

* Confident communicating at all levels

* Able to influence key business
