Location: University of Leicester Global Study Centre (LGSC)

Responsibilities of the College Services Officer (CSO):

* Support all administration in relation to the key academic processes at LGSC. These processes include, but are not limited to, moderation, examinations, timetabling and progression boards.
* Assist in the planning and implementation of the on-going programme of student events and activities to include social, academic and transition amongst others
* Ensure that student representatives and student ambassadors are well trained and available as necessary to assist with the arrival, orientation and enrolment processes.
* Participate in the development and implementation of an effective and enjoyable enrolment and orientation process for students each semester
* Assist in providing support and guidance to LCSC's under 18 students and Students in Jeopardy (SIJ)
* Participate in and enhance front line communications, i.e. reception area, College noticeboards, classrooms etc.
* Support the provision of front-line services to students and academic teaching staff providing on-going support with regards to key information concerning the academic environment and associated technologies
* Support the administration of Academic Staff Meetings and Learning and Teaching Boards inclusive of the production of timely and accurate minutes.
* Meet with and advise students in relation to internal procedures such as academic appeals and extenuating circumstances
* Support, create and maintain the accuracy of student and academic data: student academic records; Module Guides; Academic Handbooks and College Moodle VLE/Portal
* Support the administration of all College Committees inclusive of the production of timely and accurate minutes
* Maintain confidentiality at all times regarding college information and student files
* Carry out duties as may be required.

Requirements of the College Services Officer (CSO):

Essential

* Degree or 2 years relevant experience
* Experience of working in acustomer orientated environment, including dealing with customers face to face, on the phone and via email
* Experience of working with and meeting the needs of different stakeholders
* Experience of handling and prioritising multiple workloads
* Experience of working with data systems and a good understanding of maintaining elec
