If so, York primary schools are seeking experienced teaching assistants to work with SEN children within their schools. Working for Teaching Personnel means that you will initially employed on a supply basis covering day-to-day, short-term and long-term absences. Your roles and responsibilities may vary depending on the school. You will mainly be working 1:1 or in small groups, assisting those with additional needs. These vary but include:

* Autism
* Downs Syndrome
* Physical Disabilities
* Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
* Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
* Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
* Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties (SEMH)

Working as a teaching assistant you will have to have experience working/ volunteering within an educational based setting. You will be required to apply for an Enhanced Child Only DBS (if you do not already have one) and you will need to register this with the Update Service. It is also desired that you have experience working with SEN and at least 3 days availability per week.

Pay: �58 per day minimum
