PCB Design Engineer – Electronics Engineer – Cambridge

A Scientific Engineering Company, based in Cambridge, are currently looking for an experienced PCB Design Engineer/Electronics Engineer to work on the multi-layer development of PCB’s for cutting edge scientific technologies and instrumentation.

You will be working within a team of engineers and scientists, on the invention and improvement of scientific equipment. There will be other Electronics Engineers, Mechanical Engineers and Physicists in the team, but they need a PCB Design Engineer specialist to help with really complex PCB circuit design.

This organisation works on a wide rage of products for different areas of the scientific sector, due to this the types of hardware and software change from project to project. With this in mind, your PCB circuit design experience will ideally have used both Verilog coding and VHDL coding, however we are open to people who are strong in on RTL coding and training could be provided. Your RTL coding will be on FPGA and ASIC projects.

Ideally, you will have a number of years of industry or academic experience on projects/products that have to be completed to strict deadlines. We are open to people who are looking at their second role in industry through to people with many many years of experience, you will just need to have good successful practical knowledge of PCB circuit design.

Quite often, you will be working on a brand-new technology. This means you will have the opportunity to develop something that has not been seen before in the PCB field, so a good inventive and creative mindset would be welcome.

Due to the technical nature of the role, you are expected to hold a degree or PhD within a science, engineering or electronics field that would have started your development into PCB circuit design.

If successful in this role, you will be rewarded with continual skills training, career development opportunities, the chance to add you mark on new technologies, excellent starting salary, bonus, pension and other benefits.

I expect a lot of interest in this role, so if you have experience as a PCB Design Engineer and are looking for a challenging role I suggest you apply now or risk missing out on the role.
