Physics Graduate - Newport, South Wales

Primary Purpose of Role and key Responsibilities

Process demonstrations:

- Demonstrate processes to meet the agreed specification
- Assess results using analytical equipment and appropriate software packages (Excel etc.)
- Undertake problem solving and trouble-shooting
- Provide regular updates to product marketing on progress of sample/demonstration work
- Develop good relationships with customers
- Summarise results in a written report or presentation

Process development:

- Develop processes in line with company products
- Plan work and execute plans in a safe, sensible and timely manner
- Contribute constructively to the work of project teams for new products and processes
- Research into published work relevant to the companies process development
- Summarise results in a written report or presentation
- Write technical reports for patent applications
- Write technical papers for publication at conferences, seminars etc.

Field Support - to involve frequent international travel and longer term international secondments

- Develop company processes to meet the agreed specification at customer sites
- Develop good relationships with customers
- Communicate results and ideas to relevant co-workers

Full on-the-job training will be given to the successful candidate

Qualifications Required:

- A good degree (min 2.1) in relevant discipline (Physics, Chemistry, Material Sciences)
- Desirable - A Masters/PhD degree
- Good IT Skills (including as a minimum MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
