Are you looking for a role where you can really make a difference?

Teaching Personnel are currently representing a school in South Sheffield on an exclusive basis. The school has good public transport links (tram and bus routes) so owning a car is not essential. The school benefits from a new Early Years provision, with fresh, new resources.

We are looking for a L3 Teaching Assistant to support across Early Years and support the new January intake with Speech and Language interventions. Many children are starting school 'not school ready', without the skills they need to access the Early Years Curriculum. To counter this, we are looking for experienced Early Years Practitioners to support the school. You will be expected to support the class teacher by conducting observations and 'in the moment' planning to ensure children are reaching their full potential. Due to the needs of the children, you may also be expected to support on a 121 basis to deliver Speech and Language and phonics interventions. Additional training or experience related to this would be beneficial, such as being able to support children using Makaton. With some children being 'not school ready' there may be some behavioural challenges, so experience supporting behaviour or Autism would also be beneficial.

Our ideal Teaching Assistant:

* L3 Qualified
* Experienced supporting in Early Years, conducting observations for the class teacher
* Good knowledge of Speech and Language interventions
* Good Phonics knowledge
* Able support on a 121 basis, or small groups
* Experienced supporting children who are 'not school ready'
* Able to manage challenging behaviour
