SEN TA - Autism Support - Manchester (M13)
This two-form entry primary school in Manchester (M13) is looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to support a KS1 pupil with Autism on a 1:1 basis. This role will begin in January 2020 and is expected to run until the end of the academic year.
The Role:
* You will provide daily support to the pupil you work with, ensuring their social and academic development within the school
* You will work alongside the SENCO and class teachers to monitor progress, carrying out interventions where necessary
* You will assist in producing Individual Education Plans for your pupil and provide regular feedback
* You will ensure the participation of your pupil within the class and encourage their learning.
To be considered;
* You will be Level 3 qualified
* You will have previous school-based experience with SEN pupils
* You will have experience using PECS and Makaton
* You will promote and ensure pupil confidentiality
* You will be committed to ensuring the welfare and education of your pupil
* You will have demonstrable patience, reliability and flexibility, while promoting a positive attitude towards your work
* You will have an Enhanced 'Child Only' DBS clearance check on the Update Service or be open to obtaining one
