Are you a qualified Teacher of Science looking to work in an Ofsted graded 'Good' school in Northamptonshire?

Due to a gap in their successful Science department, our partner school are looking to appoint a Science Teacher from January 2020. The school are looking to appoint a permanent member of staff and would like to take the incoming Science Teacher on a temporary contract for the rest of the academic year, with the view of making this permanent following the successful completion of the contract.

* Full time Teacher of Science required from January 2020
* Temporary contract for the rest of the academic year in the first instance
* Averagely sized secondary school in Northampton
* Opportunity for perfect candidate to earn a permanent contract
* Teaching all three disciplines to KS3 and within your specialism at KS4
* Pay in line with MPS and UPS (GBP24,373-GBP40,490)

With Science being one of the most popular subjects within the school, the incoming Science Teacher will be joining a department where the pupils show a real desire to learn and will be joining a team of like-minded Science Teachers who share a passion of getting the most out of the students within the school. The school receives excellent investment regularly and boasts excellent facilities throughout, particularly within the Science department with it having state of the art laboratories resulting in excellent teaching and learning provisions and allowing the incoming Science Teacher to deliver inspiring practical and theoretical Science lessons.

As a Science teacher at our 'Good' partner school, the successful candidate will be expected to teach all three disciplines of Science to KS3, with the opportunity to teach within your specialism at GCSE level. The department offers both double award and triple award Science courses to their students. The role will involve full departmental responsibilities of planning and marking in accordance with the department policies. Prospective applicants should hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) within the UK, and also expect to undertake full department responsibilities that this role involves including planning and marking.
