Centric Talent are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our national client and Experienced Finance Business Partner to join their busy finance team. 

Reporting directly to the Assistant Finance Director our client are looking for candidates who can Identify opportunities to preserve and create value for shareholders and wider stakeholders, while proactively managing costs, risks and cashflow.

Using business insight to translate complex information and communicate it effectively to stake holders to guide critical business decisions and drive strong business performance.

Ability to critically analyse and report on all areas of current and future financial performance of specific Departments, thereby ensuring a sound basis for management control and decision making.

Also to provide financial input into key areas of business and strategic planning processes.

Key Accountabilities

- Embody adaptability, mobility and leadership. A business leader who brings incisive thinking to the leadership team.

Preparation and communication of periodic reporting pack including variances to budget and latest forecast with commentary on variances, including identifying key issues for discussion at finance reviews and recording actions - Produce quarterly forecasts to accurately reflect the latest financial position, identifying additional risks and opportunities
- Compile annual budgets and Business Plans; provide a comprehensive budget that is owned by the relevant Budget Holders and Directors
- Provide the financial expertise to support business in assessing Capital and Operating Cost business cases
- Build close working relationships with and work alongside Budget Holders, Directors and members of local management teams 
- Ensure key processes are documented to support business continuity and ISO 9001 accreditation

- Continually improve the management accounts reporting process, seeking 
feedback from Directors and senior managers - Robust cashflow forecast for relevant Directorates
- Provide training to Budget holders and non-financial mangers
- Actively work with the business to identify areas that can be more efficient and realise opportunities for saving.

 

Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications Required

- Experience working with multiple business units within a large organisation

- Experience working with Financial and nonfinancial Managers

- The post holder must have an accounting qualification.

- The postholder must have practical management accounting experience

- Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills

- The postholder should also be proficient in the use of computers, particularly with respect to spreadsheets.
