Are you a Youth Worker looking for your next challenge?

We are looking for someone with Youth Work experience to work as a behaviour Teaching Assistant in a South Sheffield School. The school is located close to public transport links, so owning a car isn't essential. Benefitting from a new site and fresh new resources, this 'Good' school has a fantasic supportive staff team.

As a behaviour Teaching Assistant, you will be expected to work 121 and with small groups to deliver interventions. These could include delivering Nurture interventions, taking children out for Sports Activities, running Lego Therapy or supporting the class teacher to bridge gaps in understanding. Sometimes children find the classroom environment over stimulating, struggling to keep focused and complete work. Ideally, through previous Youth Worker experience, you will understand how to engage children with various activities and manage behaviour in a positive manner. We are looking for someone who can be a positive role model to children.

* Able to support vulnerable pupils who express behavioural challenges
* Have a calm, patient approach and use positive behaviour management techniques
* Happy to support across Key Stages
* Positive role model for pupils
* Able to work on a 121 basis or with small groups
