A mainstream secondary school based on the Southampton/New Forest boarder are looking to appoint a English Teacher for January 2020 on a full time basis

There is a very high demand for English teachers within the Dorset area and this role has provided an excellent opportunity to work in one of the county's finest. The school in question is an outstanding church of English school with excellent facilities as described by Ofsted in 2017. Upon their visit, Ofsted graded the school "Excellent with the abilities to progress every child regardless of ability"

The role is initially a maternity contract starting in January 2020 running until June 2020, with the view to become a permanent member of staff for the next academic year. A successful applicant must have a recognised teaching qualification such as a PGCE, unfortunately the school will not accept TEFL/ CELTA teachers. Experience in teaching English Language and literature up to KS4 is essential, with experience teaching to KS5 being desirable. Experience in teaching a drama would also be ideal as some drama will be incorporated on the timetable for the right candidate.
